Work Truck Week 2026 — Indianapolis Highlights Live

What's up, truckers 🚛

If you're not in Indianapolis this week, you're missing North America's largest commercial truck event: Work Truck Week 2026.

From March 10-13, the Indiana Convention Center became the epicenter of the industry — with over 500 exhibitors, new model presentations, and test drives of the latest in electric, hydrogen, and diesel technology.

What Are They Showing?

Here are the most important highlights:

🚚 Harbinger Debuts Its New Medium-Duty

Harbinger, a commercial electric vehicle startup, presented its new HC Series Cab — a low-cab-forward (LCF) medium-duty truck. It will be available in two configurations: fully electric and plug-in hybrid.

They haven't released all the technical details yet, but they promise better range, fast charging, and ultra-low operating cost. If it works as advertised, it could compete with Ford E-Transit and Mercedes eSprinter.

Additionally, Harbinger announced it will expand advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) across its medium-duty lineup in 2026.

🔧 Ram Professional — New Work Lineup

Ram Professional revealed new additions to its lineup of trucks and vans designed specifically for contractors, small fleets, and owner-operators. They include heavy-duty configurations with factory-integrated upfits — less time customizing, more time working.

⚡ Electric Truck Test Drives (Mar 11-12)

On March 11 and 12, you can get behind the wheel and drive the most advanced trucks on the market at the "Ride & Drive":

  • Ford Transit electric and Super Duty with Allison transmissions
  • Hino L6e — battery-electric medium-duty truck
  • Hino Tern RC8 — Class 8 4x2 electric tractor
  • Isuzu NRR EV — Class 5 electric low-cab-forward
  • Mack MD Electric — electric medium-duty truck
  • Mercedes-Benz eSprinter — fully electric van
  • Peterbilt Model 536EV — zero-emissions truck
  • Rivian R1T — four-door electric crew cab pickup
  • Blue Arc™ — Class 4 battery-powered trucks
  • Step Vans with Blue Bird EV — commercial electric chassis

Why Does It Matter to You?

If you have a small fleet or are an owner-operator, this event shows you the future of your industry:

  • New electric options with lower operating costs (if you do local routes)
  • New EPA 2027 regulations that will make new diesels more expensive
  • Allison transmission technology that improves efficiency and durability
  • Factory configurations that save you time and money on upfits

Green Truck Summit (Mar 10)

The event also included the Green Truck Summit, focused on sustainability, efficiency, and productivity. Key topics:

  • How to reduce operating costs with low-emission vehicles
  • Federal and state incentives for green fleets
  • Charging infrastructure for commercial EVs
