🛣️ IH-10: Key Freight Corridor and Smuggling Route
Interstate 10, which runs from California to Florida, is one of the main freight arteries in the United States — and also a frequent route for smuggling stolen vehicles to Central America and Mexico.
For truckers running this corridor, this incident is a reminder of how important it is to know exactly what you're hauling. If someone offers you a suspicious load with questionable documentation, walk away. The legal consequences are severe and can include seizure of your equipment.
🔧 Keep Your Equipment in Top Shape
Beyond knowing your freight, make sure your truck is mechanically sound. A rig with brake, suspension, or steering issues isn't just dangerous — it also puts you on law enforcement's radar during inspections.
At The Truck Savers, we offer a free road simulator inspection that checks suspension, steering, and over 100 mechanical points. Better to catch problems before they put you out of service.
