Le Mans Trucks Race on Bugatti
Le Mans trucks use Circuit Bugatti. Check the updated field and local race times before following this weekend.
Le Mans has more than one racing layout. This weekend's European truck races use Circuit Bugatti, the shorter permanent circuit, rather than the long course associated with the famous sports-car endurance race. That distinction is the starting point for following the 24 Heures Camions: identify the championship, the session and the date before interpreting a result or setting an alarm.
The weekend has already started
Friday, September 25, brought the opening practice session. Norbert Kiss recorded the fastest lap, ahead of Antonio Albacete and Sascha Lenz. The championship's report says Kiss needs 15 points at Le Mans to secure his eighth title. Practice itself awards no race points. A fast Friday therefore establishes an early benchmark; it does not announce a champion or settle Saturday's starting order.
Four races, two racing days
The published European schedule places Race 1 at 14:10 and Race 2 at 17:05 on Saturday, September 26; Sunday's races are listed for 13:55 and 16:55. Those are local French times, provisional and subject to change. Converted to Houston's current time zone, they are 7:10 a.m., 10:05 a.m., 6:55 a.m. and 9:55 a.m., respectively. Recheck the official timetable before arranging your break around a start.
Do not confuse a scheduled race with a confirmed live stream. The event timetable and the broadcaster's listing answer different questions. Before watching, verify that the player names the European championship and the correct race. A replay, qualifying session or national-series broadcast can be valuable, but it is not interchangeable with the session you intended to follow.
Read the updated entry list
The September 23 list contains 14 drivers, replacing the earlier preview's 15. Stefan Kursch is no longer listed for this weekend. The field includes MAN, IVECO, Freightliner, Scania and Mercedes-Benz machinery. Keep that updated list alongside the timing screen: using an older graphic can make a perfectly ordinary absence look like a missing result.
The contest behind the leader
Albacete arrived third in the standings, 15 points behind Lenz in second. His team had collected 41 points at the preceding Zolder weekend, including two second-place finishes. The Spaniard singles out the right-hand corner after the Dunlop bridge as a demanding part of Bugatti. That gives viewers a specific place to observe rather than treating every corner as an identical passing opportunity.
Jonathan André offers another useful distinction. The French driver is concentrating on the national championship at Le Mans and plans his European return for Jarama. His presence at the festival does not mean he appears in the European entry list. He also identifies the tight final corner and its exit as important. Treat those comments as a driver's perspective, not a prediction of the finishing order.
One festival, separate championships
The organizer's racing guide includes the French championship, British Truck Racing Championship and European series. They share the event, not a single combined championship table. When a clip says someone won at Le Mans, look for the series and race number before comparing that result with another driver's weekend. This small check prevents a national-series result from being presented as a European one.
The event's public dates are September 26 and 27. Its official site combines competition with displays and other activities, tracing the event's history back to 1981. For anyone planning a visit, admission information and the full program matter as much as the racing timetable. Check those directly rather than assuming that a practice-session time describes public access.
What the format changes
The European series uses qualifying to set the first and third race grids; the top eight from those races start in reverse order for the second and fourth. A leading driver can therefore begin a later race farther back without having qualified poorly. Watch the sequence of sessions, not just one starting position. Racing trucks also operate under dedicated sporting rules; their performance is not a specification or operating recommendation for a working road truck.
