- Motorhomes (RVs) — Class A and Super C
- Delivery trucks — UPS, FedEx, food trucks
- Ambulances
- Small buses
- Specialized commercial vehicles
They're chassis sold without a body, so specialized companies can build the vehicle body on top.
❓ What's the Problem?
The defect is in the hydroboost brake assist system:
Defect:
- The brake pedal doesn't return to its resting position after releasing your foot
- This keeps the brake light switch activated
- Result: stop lamps stay on permanently
🚨 Safety Risks:
- Vehicles behind don't know when you're actually braking — lights are always on
- Increased rear-end collision risk — especially in traffic or on highways
- Confusion for other drivers — they see constant brake lights and assume you're not braking
- Dead battery — permanently lit lights drain battery
🔧 What Will Ford Do?
Solution:
- Ford will inspect the hydroboost brake system
- If the defect is confirmed, they'll replace necessary parts
- FREE OF CHARGE to the owner
Notifications:
- Owner letters: March 23-27, 2026
