ExpoCam 2027: Plan for April 22–24 in Montreal

Put the correct edition on the calendar

ExpoCam lists its next show for April 22–24, 2027, at the Palais des Congrès in Montreal, Quebec. For an owner-operator or small fleet considering a visit, the useful first step is to match every reservation and supplier conversation to that edition. The organizer's website still carries some material labeled 2025. An old exhibitor list can help identify companies to research, but it does not confirm who will attend in 2027.

Dates and venue were checked on October 8, 2026. This is an advance planning guide, not a final visitor schedule. Before committing money, reconfirm admission details, opening hours, any appointment and the arrangements that affect your trip. We are not carrying forward ticket prices, exhibitor totals or program promises from the previous edition.

A show with a longer history

According to the organizer, ExpoCam began in 1985 as a regional exhibition and developed into a biennial trucking event. Its history helps explain why fleets and suppliers use the show as a meeting point. Historical scale, however, should remain historical: figures on a page discussing the 2025 anniversary are not a verified forecast for the next gathering.

For a working fleet, the value of attending depends on the questions brought to the floor. A purchasing decision, a service-support problem or a need to compare equipment may justify a focused visit. Walking every aisle without a defined question can produce plenty of brochures while leaving the original business problem unresolved. Decide what evidence would make the visit useful before deciding how long to stay.

Start with one operational question

Choose a specific issue from your own operation. An illustrative example is a fleet comparing maintenance support for equipment it already owns. The useful conversation concerns the relevant product, service coverage, documentation, parts availability and the process for getting an answer. A broad request to “show us what is new” may not establish any of those details.

Prepare a short description of the application and the information you are authorized to share. Bring model details or service questions where relevant, without circulating customer records or confidential contracts. Ask each potential supplier comparable questions. If a technical recommendation depends on additional vehicle information, record that condition instead of treating a show-floor conversation as final approval.

Verify the meeting before booking around it

Once the current exhibitor directory and floor plan are available, confirm the company, location and appropriate contact for your purpose. A business may have exhibited previously without having committed to this edition. Likewise, a stand presence does not automatically mean the person who can answer a specialist question will be there on the day you visit.

Ask for a confirmed appointment when a particular meeting is the reason for traveling. Record the edition, date, local time, contact and objective together. If the appointment changes, assess the trip again rather than allowing an old calendar invitation to make the decision. These are planning suggestions, not promises about the organizer's booking process or any exhibitor's availability.

Build the cost around the whole absence

Use your own figures to compare transport, lodging, admission, local travel and the operational effect of being away. For a small business, arranging coverage can matter as much as the hotel bill. Do not assume that a downtown convention-centre address includes suitable parking for your commercial vehicle; verify the actual facility and vehicle restrictions before bringing it.

If the trip involves crossing a border, verify the applicable travel and vehicle requirements with the responsible authorities for your circumstances. An exhibition registration is not an assessment of those requirements. Keep refundable options, change conditions and booking dates visible in the planning file. A budget based on confirmed quotes is more useful than a precise-looking total assembled from last year's offers.

Leave with a comparison you can use

For each serious conversation, record the product or service discussed, the application, the documents promised and the person responsible for follow-up. Distinguish a written quotation from a preliminary discussion. Note the currency, included items and unresolved conditions when comparing offers. Avoid comparing one complete proposal with another supplier's starting figure as if both describe the same purchase.

After returning, assign the outstanding questions and review the evidence before ordering or changing a maintenance practice. The goal is a documented decision, not an assumed saving from attendance. ExpoCam's announced dates provide a planning opportunity; the preventive work is checking the right edition, arranging meaningful meetings and returning with information that fits the operation you actually run.
