Hood's Service Center is a family-owned, independent truck stop running 24 hours a day since 1963, right off I-44 Exit 61, ten miles west of Springfield, Missouri. Truckers get Cenex diesel, plenty of big-rig parking, showers, laundry, a motel and a home-cooking diner, plus an on-site mechanic and 24-hour road and tire service. It is a genuine alternative to the big chains in the heart of Route 66.
